Education ministry issues directives to prevent dengue outbreak

The education ministry of Bangladesh has given directives to all educational institutions across the country about the ways and means to prevent the dengue outbreak, reports news agency BSS.

In a notification issued on Thursday, the ministry asked the authorities of educational institutions to keep clean their respective playgrounds and buildings to stop the spread of dengue.

The educational institutions have been asked to clean all water-filled containers and flower tubs regularly to prevent the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes that cause dengue, it said.
