Jamalpur DC Ahmed Kabir made OSD

Jamalpur's deputy commissioner Ahmed Kabir was made an officer on special duty on Sunday, days after a leaked video showed him in a compromising situation with a female colleague, reports UNB.

In a notification, the public administration ministry said the order will be effective immediately.

Officer on special duty or OSD is a post that rarely offers opportunity for work.

Kabir has been replaced by Mohammad Enamul Haque, who was serving as the private secretary to the planning minister.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Saturday told UNB that they were looking into the matter and that it would be resolved within a day or two.

State minister for public administration Farhad Hossain had said Kabir would face departmental action after an investigation.
