Fire at Nirbachan Bhaban

Nirbachan Bhaban, the headquarters of the Election Commission, caught fire in Agargaon, Dhaka on Sunday night, reports UNB.

Quoting Quamrul Hasan, an operator at the Fire Service Central Control Room, UNB said the fire originated on the basement around 11:06pm.

On information, 10 firefighting units rushed in and doused the fire under control around 12:25am on Monday, he said, adding that the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
