Ex-secy Nasima Begum made NHRC chairman

Legislative and parliamentary affairs division of law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry on Sunday issued a gazette notification of the appointment of chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and its full time and honourary members.

Former senior secretary Nasima Begum was appointed chairman of NHRC while former secretary Kamal Uddin Ahmed full-time member of the commission, said a press release of NHRC.

Five appointed honourary members are senior lawyer of Supreme Court Toufiqa Aftab, Rangamati Hill District Council former chairman Chingkiu Roaja, former senior district and session judge Jesmin Ara Begum, former district and session judge Mizanur Rahman Khan and former secretary Nomita Halder.
