Shredded banknotes found abandoned in Bogura

Loads of shredded banknotes of Tk 100, 500 and 1000, torn into pieces, were found on the road and roadside ditch in Jalshuka of Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura on Tuesday.

According to police, locals informed the police about the torn banknotes in the morning. Police after arriving on the spot engaged some people to recover the shredded pieces from the ditch.

The police team took two bags full of torn banknotes to the police station while a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) took another bag of shredded notes as evidence.

Confirming about the incident the inspector (investigation) of Shahjahanpur police station told Prothom Alo, police rushed to the area immediately after being informed by the locals.
