Bullet-hit body found in Meherpur

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected criminal in Darbeshpur of Meherpur sadar upazila early Friday, reports news agency UNB.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain Bakka, 32, of Chuadanga district.

Hearing sound of exchanging gunshots, a team of police went to the spot and recovered the body of Ismail, claimed Baradi police camp in-charge sub-inspector Abbas Ali.

Police suspected that Ismail was killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two groups of ‘criminals’ over internal feud.

The law enforcement also claimed to have recovered two bullets, two cartridges and a few locally made weapons from the spot.
