Ex-DU BCL leaders held with yaba, loaded gun

Two former leaders of Dhaka University (DU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were held with contraband yaba pills and local arms from a residential hall on Tuesday evening, reports news agency UNB.

DU proctorial team raided Hazi Mohammad Mohsin Hall in the evening and detained two former leaders with yaba, gun and local arms and handed them over to Shahbagh police station.

The two were identified as BCL DU unit former deputy sports secretary, also student of Institute of Education Research Hasibur Rahman Tushar, and former deputy secretary, also Islamic History and culture department student Abu Bakar Alif.

Proctor professor AKM Golam Rabbani told UNB that two students were held with a loaded gun and local arms from Hazi Mohammad Mohsin Hall.
