3 held over girl’s ‘gang-rape’

Police arrested two boys and a girl on Tuesday night over the reported gang-rape of a teenage girl in Dhaka's Kamrangirchar area, reports UNB.

The arrestees are Sajib, Minto and their cohort Barsha. They are aged 16-19, police said.

Barsha, one of victim's friends, took her to a house at Nabinagar of Kamrangirchar on the night of 11 October where several boys, including Sajib and Minto, raped her in turns, said Kamrangirchar police inspector (Investigation) Md Mostafa Anwar. 

The victim filed a case on Tuesday, he said.

Police arrested the trio conducting a drive on Tuesday night, the Inspector said, adding that police were looking for another suspect.

The victim was sent to the one-stop crisis centre (OCC) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday noon, Mostafa said.
