213 new dengue patients hospitalised

Some 213 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.

Seventy-three of them were hospitalised in Dhaka, the Directorate General of Health Services said in a regular update.

Since January, more than 100,000 people were hospitalised with dengue. Of them, 94,922 made full recovery, reports UNB.

Currently, 926 patients, including 378 in Dhaka, are undergoing treatment at hospitals.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has received 248 reports of dengue-related deaths. It has reviewed 171 of them and confirmed 107 deaths so far.
