Six bodies recovered in 6 districts

Six bodies, including that of a beheaded man, were recovered from Faridpur, Panchagarh, Narsingdi, Dinajpur, Sirajganj and Bogura on Sunday, reports UNB.

In Faridpur, being informed by locals, police recovered a beheaded body from Dewar village in Bhanga upazila around 10:00pm, said Gazi Rabiul Islam, additional superintendent of police (Bhanga circle).

The body was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed at Bhanga Police Station in this connection, Islam said.

In Panchagarh, police recovered the throat-slit body of housewife Kalpana Akhtar, 25, wife of Monir in Sardarpara village of Sadar upazila.

The deceased's father alleged that she had been murdered over family feud.

Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Abu Akkas Ahmed said the victim’s husband has been on the run after the incident. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

In Narsingdi, the throat-slit body of a madrasa teacher was recovered from his house in the bus terminal area of Monohardi upazila.

Monohardi Police Station OC Moniruzzaman said Tofazzol Hossain, 30, taught at Dorbeserkanda Hafizia Madrasa.

Police detained two people, including his wife, for interrogation.

Quoting the victim’s wife, the OC said Tofazzol was found in the toilet with a deep cut wound on his throat.

The body was sent to the Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he said.

In Dinajpur, the body of 45-year-old Malin Chandra Sarkar, son of Namla Sarkar, was found in a ditch in Suihara village of Birol upazila in the morning.

Birol Police Station OC ATM Golam Rasul said the body was sent to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

In Sirajganj, the body of a 40-year-old man was found floating in the Hurasagar River in Sadar upazila in the morning.

Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station Rezaul Islam Shah said locals informed police after spotting the body in the river.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

In Bogura, farmer Fazlur Rahman, 50, who went missing on Saturday afternoon, was found dead in a paddy field in Raypur area of Nandigram upazila in the morning.

Nandigram Police Station OC Shawkat Kabir said the body was sent to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
