3 JnU students suspended for beating journo

Jagannath University (JnU) authorities have suspended three students for beating journalist on campus.

The suspended students are Sohanur Rahman and Koushik Sarkar of the zoology department and Moin Uddin Ahmed of the finance department. All of them are students of 2018-19 academic session, reports news agency UNB.

The trio beat Sagar Hossain, university correspondent of ETV and a student of education and research institute, during the cultural programme to celebrate the Jagannath University Day on 20 October, said a press release.

The university authorities took the action against them as they were found to be involved in the incident.
