Derailment snaps Kishoreganj- Mymensingh rail link

The rail communications between Mymensingh and Kishoreganj remained suspended since Thursday afternoon after derailment of a wheel of Chattogram-bound Nasirabad Express train, reports UNB.

AKM Quamruzzaman, station master of Bhairab railway station said the accident took place around 1pm when the train was crossing Jagannathpur area of Bhairab.

Ferdous Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Bhairab railway police Station said a relief train has already reached the spot from Akhaura.

It may take three or four hours to restore the rail communications, he added.
