Tea seller hacked dead in Rajshahi

A tea seller was hacked to death allegedly by his neighbour at Malda Colony in Rajshahi on Saturday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Ramjan Ali, 28, son of Abdur Razzak of the colony.
Nibaran Chandra Barman, officer-in-charge of Boalia police station, said an altercation ensued between Ramjan and Md Sohel when Ramjan asked for the money he lent to his neighbour Sohel.
At one stage, Sohel hacked Ramjan with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where on duty physicians declared him dead around 11:30am.

The body will be handed over to the family after autopsy and a case will be filed with the police station in this connection, the OC added.
