Man allegedly commits suicide after killing wife

A man allegedly committed suicide after hacking his wife to death in Kakuchipara village of Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira early Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Mannan Gazi, 50, and his wife Sona Bibi, 35, of the village.

Local people said the couple engaged in a brawl on Saturday evening.

Locals found the body of Sona Bibi lying at their house while that of Mannan hanging from a tree near the house on Sunday morning, said Shymnagar police station sub-inspector Ainuddin.

Inspector (investigation) of Shymnagar police station Yasin Alam said Mannan might have hanged himself after killing his wife following a family feud.
