2 killed in Mymensingh road crash

Two people were killed and 10 others injured when a bus rammed into a private car on the Netrakona-Mymensingh Highway at Kashiganj under Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh on Friday.

The duo met the tragic end of life while returning home in Netrakona after receiving a relative at Shahjalal International Airport.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police said the accident occurred in the area at around 11.00am when a Mymensingh-bound bus from Jaria in Netrakona hit a private car, leaving two people, including the driver of the car, killed on the spot and 10 others injured.

Of the injured, three were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, as their condition was found critical.
