Freedom fighter slaughtered in Chattogram

A former policeman was slaughtered reportedly by young man at Uttar union of Chattogram’s Raozan upazila on Saturday morning, reports UNB. 

The deceased was identified as AKM Nurul Ajam Chowdhury, 68, also a freedom fighter, hailing from Garduara village of Hathazari upazila. He used to run a stationery shop in the area.

Inspector (investigation) of Raozan police station Mir Hossain said they recovered the decapitated body of Nurul Ajam from beside Harpapara High School in the morning. "We're yet to identify the killers," he added.

Locals said Nurul was hacked to death by a youth in front of his shop around 10:00am.

He cut off his head during the attack, they said.

On information, policemen went to the spot and recovered the body.
