Medical college admission seekers’ demo continues
Medical college admission seekers on Thursday staged demonstrations demanding fresh admission tests at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital.
Some students from Dhaka medical college and Salimullah medical college also joined the medical college admission seekers on Wednesday.
The agitating admission seekers said the government was paying no heed to their demands although they have produced the evidences of question-paper leak.
They, however, hoped the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, on her return to the country would take an initiative in this regard.
Extending solidarity with the agitating admission seekers, the DMC and SMC students, who joined the demonstrations, said Bangladesh Medical Association should play a role to solve the crisis.
If someone becomes a physician after getting admission to the medical college on the basis of leaked question, it would be harmful for the nation, they said.
The agitating admission seekers later tried, in a procession, to go to Shahbagh intersection, but police intercepted them in front of Shahbagh police station.
Then the agitators took position there and held a rally.
