BSF returns body of Bangladeshi after 20 days

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday returned the body of a Bangladeshi national, who was shot to death by BSF members along Fatehpur border in Shibganj upazila 20 days ago, reports UNB news agency.

Wahedpur Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) camp commanding officer Lutfur Rahman said Anwar, son of Sentu Ali of Gaipara Charhasanpur village in the upazila, was shot to death by the BSF members at Mahaldarpara while returning from India with cattle on 7 October.

BGB sent a letter to BSF protesting the incident.

The BSF finally returned the body at a flag meeting with a BGB team around 5:00pm on Tuesday, said Lutfur Rahman.
