One more dies, 6 others infected with coronavirus in Bangladesh
One more patient has died and six people have newly been infected with the novel coronavirus, raising the number of patients to 33.
During a media briefing on Monday, Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said newly infected patients include one physician and two nurses.
Addressing the media, IEDCR director Meerjady Sabrina Flora said an expatriate, who returned home from Italy, died at a local hospital.
News agency UNB adds:
Of the six fresh cases, three are men and the rest three are women.
She stressed the need for intensifying the preventive measures and maintaining personal hygiene to contain the spread of the virus.
She urged people to remain inside avoiding all kinds of mass gathering to stay safe.
He said bus operations will be suspended if necessary and he would speak to bus owners in this regard.
