More than 350 stranded Canadians citizens and permanent residents left Dhaka for Toronto, Canada on Monday, UNB reports.

The Canadian high commission in Dhaka arranged the fourth and final special flight of the Qatar Airways for Canadian citizens.

The four flights allowed over 1,110 stranded Canadians to return home, with all passengers agreeing to pay or reimburse their tickets, said the high commission.

It said Canada is grateful to all government authorities involved as well as Qatar Airways for their continued support.

The high commission recommended that Canadians remaining in Bangladesh register in the online Registry of Canadians Abroad and follow it on social media to receive important information.
