Hefazat-e-Islam secretary general Jihadi passes away

Hefazat-e-Islam secretary general Nurul Islam Jihadi has passed away. He died around 12.14pm on Monday at a hospital in Dhaka. He was suffering from old-age complications.

Mir Idris, organising secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam confirmed the matter. Speaking to Prothom Alo, he said, Nurul Islam was admitted to Labaid Hospital in Dhaka after falling ill last Saturday. He died there on Monday while undergoing treatment.

Mir Idris said Nurul Islam’s janaza will be held at Baitul Mukarram national mosque in the capital on Monday after Esha prayers.
