Khaleda Zia to return home on Tuesday
BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda will return home on Monday after receiving treatment for 81 days at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She was admitted to the hospital on 13 November.
Shairul Kabir Khan, press wing official of BNP chairperson, confirmed the matter to Prothom Alo on Tuesday. He said Khaleda Zia will leave the hospital at 6.00pm. The medical board formed for the treatment of the BNP chairperson is scheduled to hold a press conference on this occasion.
Earlier 9 January, Khaleda Zia was shifted to the cabin from the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital as her physical condition improved.
Before that, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the Evercare Hospital under the supervision of heart specialist Shahabuddin Talukder. A six-member medical board was formed for her treatment. Besides, specialist physicians from at least two private hospitals are involved in her treatment.
In the meantime, BNP is holding various programmes demanding advanced treatment of Khaleda Zia abroad. The leaders of the party say that the government is not allowing Khaleda Zia to go abroad for treatment, showing the excuse of law.
