The law ministry has refused BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's application seeking permission for going abroad for better treatment.

The ministry has said that there is no scope to give such type of privilege to a convicted person. A source at the law ministry confirmed this to Prothom Alo on Sunday.

The ministry on Sunday sent their observation to the home ministry.

As per its observation, a convicted person cannot go abroad for treatment.
