PM Hasina mourns death of liberation war organiser Waliur Rahman Reza

Awami League president and prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of party's national committee member and one of the organisers of liberation war Waliur Rahman Reza, reports UNB.

In a condolence message, the prime minister said that the death of the advisory council member of Gaibandha district AL and former MP Waliur Rahman Reza caused an irreparable loss to the country and the party.

She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Waliur Rahman breathed his last this morning at his own house at the age of 80. He left behind his wife, son and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers.

AL general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader also expressed profound shock and grief at the death of Waliur Rahman.
