Raushan Ershad in ICU

The chief patron of Jatiya Party and opposition leader in the parliament Raushan Ershad was admitted to the intensive care unit of Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Cantonment.

Family members said Raushan went to the CMH on Saturday for regular health check-up but was admitted to the hospital because of deteriorating health condition. As she showed no improvement, CMH physicians transferred her to ICU yesterday, Monday.

Raushan’s son Rahgir Almahe Ershad, also parliament member, said, “Ammu is still suffering from breathing problems although she is now Covid negative. She has been given oxygen support.”

Rahgir, better known as Saad Ershad, sought people’s prayers for his mother’s recovery.

Jatiya Party chairman and deputy opposition leader GM Quader also asked people to pray for Raushan.
