Senior journalist Toab Khan hospitalised
Ekushey Padak recipient and Bangla daily the Janakantha advisory editor Toab Khan was hospitalised after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday night.
He is undergoing treatment at the coronary care unit (CCU) of the United Hospital in the capital, family sources have said.
Toab Khan has been suffering from post-Covid-19 complexities after he contracted coronavirus in November last year.
Toab Khan started his journalism career in 1955. He was the press secretary to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after the independence.
He also served as the principal information officer and the director general of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
He received Ekushey Padak in 2006.
