Passenger trains to run with full capacity from Wednesday

The Bangladesh Railway authorities have decided that starting from Wednesday no seats will be kept empty and the trains will be selling 100 per cent of the tickets.

The decision was taken on Tuesday, a source confirmed Prothom Alo. Half of the tickets will be sold online while the other half will be sold at the stations, he added.

Since 31 May, the trains could sell tickets against only 50 per cent of the seats to ensure social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A total of 218 trains will be plying across the country from tomorrow.
