Dengue: Four people die in 24 hrs

Four people have died of dengue in 24 hours as of Monday at 8:00am, taking the total toll to 37 this year. During the period, 345 more patients were admitted to the hospitals: 228 in Dhaka and 117 across the country.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of dengue patients in different hospitals of the country has increased to 1,112.

Of them, 853 patients are taking treatment at 50 different public and private hospitals in Dhaka while 259 outside Dhaka. Patients who died of dengue in 24 hours are the residents of Dhaka.

Earlier on 6 September, the country recorded five deaths from dengue, which was the highest in a single day in 2022.
