Gold price up by Tk 1,166 per bhari

The prices of gold in the local market have shot up by Tk 1,166 per bhari (11.664 grams).

After the latest hike, the price of one bhari of 22-carat gold stands at Tk 58,028 while 21-carat gold price at Tk 55,696, 18-carat gold at Tk 50,680 and traditional gold at Tk 29,160 per bhari.

Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (BAJUS) announced the price hike in a statement on Saturday.

The new prices will come into effect from Sunday, 24 November, 2019.

The price of silver, however, remained unchanged at Tk 933 per bhari.

Earlier on 11 September, BAJUS adjusted the prices of gold at Tk 56,862 per bhari.
