Mobile banking suspended from today

Financial transaction through mobile financial services (MFS) will remain suspended for 48 hours from Friday for the national election billed for 30 December, reports UNB.

Bangladesh Bank has taken the decision as per the directives of the election commission to shut all kinds of mobile banking services on the occasion of the general election. It issued a circular in this regard on Thursday.

As per the circular, financial transaction through MFS will remain suspended from 5:00pm on Friday to 5:00pm on Sunday.

However, any MFS account holder can withdraw upto Tk 5,000 from his/her own account every day from 29-30 December, it said.
