Dollar price at kerb market reaches record high at Tk 115

Bangladesh Bank (BB) once again devalued taka against US dollar, raising the exchange value of the dollar by 30 paisa to Tk 95 a dollar.

The central bank sold 139 million dollars to the banks at the newly set price, which they term as interbank price.

However, no transaction is being made at this price in the banks. Today, Monday, banks received remittance at Tk 112-113 per dollar. At the same price, they sold dollars to the importers.

Today, money changers at kerb market sold dollars at record high price of Tk 115.
