Gold price hiked by Tk 2,741 per bhori

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) decided to hike the price of gold once again by Tk 2,741 per bhori in a span of two days. The newly set price will be effective from Friday across the country.

BAJUS issued a press release on Thursday over the matter. They said the gold price has increased in the local bullion market.

On 27 July, the price of gold was increased by Tk 1,341 per bhori. Before that, on 22 May, the price went up to record high at Tk 82,464 per bhori.

As the price has been hiked, customers will have to spend Tk 81,298 to purchase 22-carat gold per bhori while the 21-carat gold at Tk 77,566, 18-carat at Tk 66, 485 and sanatan gold at Tk 55,171.

However, BAJUS didn’t increase the price of silver.
