Bangladesh gets offers in 50,000t wheat tender

Bangladesh's state grains buyer received a lowest offer of $265.38 a tonne CIF liner out in an international tender on Thursday to purchase and import 50,000 tonnes of wheat, traders said.

No purchase has yet been made and the offers are still being considered, they said.

Traders said these offers were made in the tender, all for 50,000 tonnes CIF liner out:

Agrocorp $265.38

Aston $266.64

Swiss Singapore $269.40

JK International $269.60

Phoenix $274.35

CIF liner out terms include a range of port unloading costs for the seller.

Shipment is sought 40 days after the date of contract signing. The wheat can be sourced from any worldwide origin except Israel.

In its last reported tender on 21 November, Bangladesh purchased 50,000 tonnes of wheat.
