BSEC sets new trading time for stock exchanges
Bangladesh Security Exchange Commission (BSEC) has set new trading time for the stock exchanges to save electricity, reports BSS.
The new timing for all stock exchanges in the country will be from 9:30am to 1:50pm starting from Wednesday, said a BSEC press release issued on Tuesday.
A 10-minute post-closing session will continue after the transactions. In that case, the post-closing session will be from 1:50pm to 2:00 pm.
BSEC also encouraged operating trading activities using digital platforms.
Earlier on Monday, the government fixed new office hours for all government and autonomous institutions, from 8:00am to 3:00pm, to tackle the ongoing energy crisis.
The decision will come into effect from Wednesday.
