Govt increases rawhide price before Eid

The government has hiked the price of cow rawhide by Tk 7 and fixed at Tk 47 to Tk 52 per square foot ahead of the Eid ul-Azha.

Commerce minister Tipu Munshi disclosed the new price at a press conference at the secretariat on Tuesday.

He said the price of salted cow rawhide will be Tk 47 to Tk 52 in Dhaka and Tk 40 to Tk 44 outside the capital.

Meanwhile, the goat rawhide price has been fixed at Tk 18 to Tk 20 per square foot in Dhaka as well as in other parts of the country. The price of female goat (nannies) rawhide will be Tk 12 to Tk 14 per square foot across the country.
