The country’s largest online marketplace Daraz has been recognised as the most loved e-commerce brand of Bangladesh and the 13th most valued brand of 2021 recently, said a press release.

Daraz received the recognition in the e-commerce category at the 13th edition of the Best Brand Award held at Le Méridien in the capital on 29 December.

Best Brand Award started its journey with Nielsen Bangladesh in 2008 to inspire the brands of the country in their journey by recognising their contributions to the market. They have been honouring brands for the last 13 years.

This year, a total of 102 brands were recognised in 35 categories for their contributions to the Bangladeshi market.

Syed Mostahidal Hoq, managing director at Daraz Bangladesh, said on this occasion, “Daraz Bangladesh has been doing everything to make the e-commerce ecosystem all the more stable. Consequently, we have been able to gain the trust of the customers.”

“We are really delighted that this fact has been recognized by this award. This recognition will inspire us to come up with more innovative solutions and services for our customers in the days to come,” he said thanking the customers and stakeholders for their unwavering support to Daraz.

Md Tajdin Hassan, chief marketing officer of Daraz Bangladesh, said, “This recognition inspires Dazar to walk the extra miles for the benefit of their customers. Daraz Bangladesh is also committed to enhancing customer experience in all ways possible in the days to come.”

A leading online marketplace in South Asia, Daraz connects tens of thousands of sellers with millions of customers across the region. The platform provides access to 19 million products in more than 100+ categories and delivers more than 2 million packages every month across Bangladesh.

China’s Alibaba Group acquired Daraz in 2018. Besides, Daraz educates more than 5,000 new sellers on e-commerce operations. The company also operates Daraz Express, known as DEX, to overcome the logistics challenge in markets.
