‘Khoaz Khizir er Sinduk’ wins Prothom Alo best book award

Prothom Alo on Saturday awarded best book of the Bangla year 1422 to Syed Abul Maksud and Faizul Islam.

The jury selected Syed Abul Maksud as winner in the contemplative section for his book ‘Dhaka University and the higher education in Bangladesh’, published by Prothoma Prokashan.

The jury also selected Faizul Islam as winner in the creative section for his book ‘Khoaz Khizirer Sinduk’ published by Samagra Prokashan.

Prothom Alo managing editor Sajjad Sharif inaugurated the award ceremony at around 5:30pm at literary expert Abdul Karim auditorium in Bangla Academy.

Emeritus professor of Dhaka University Serajul Islam Choudhury handed down the crest and cheque of Tk one lakh each to the winners.
