Actress Priyanka's life support removed
Priyanka Zaman's family has confirmed that the small screen actress is no longer on life support as her health has shown splendid signs of recovery.
"We're really happy as she's doing extremely well. I want everyone to pray for my sister," said Zerin Zaman, sister of the actress.
Priyanka, known for anchoring BTV's 'Chhayachhanda', was diagnosed with pneumonia while undergoing treatment for infection in her blood. She is currently at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Square Hospital in the capital where the physicians are monitoring her recovery.
Physicians at the Square Hospital's ICU department said she is now breathing on her own and showing a great sign of recovery.
If she improves like this, she will be transferred to a cabin within one or two days, said a physician.
The actress-model was admitted to Islami Bank Hospital first with a serious infection in blood on Thursday.
Priyanka is a known face for television viewers. She acts regularly in TV plays, music videos and television commercials (TVCs).
