Apu back to business

Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas has made her return to the silver screen after a hiatus over the birth of a baby.

Apu began dubbing for her new film Panku Jamai on Thursday afternoon.

The actress was happy returning to work for the first time since March last year. “This is where I belong. This is the place that made today's Apu Biswas. I was really missing this place,” she said.

“I could have returned much earlier, but it wasn’t possible as I gained some extra weight after becoming a mother. I’m now quite fit for shooting this new film,” she added.

Director of the film Mannan Gazipuri said, “Apu has been working for the past two days. The film is yet to be completed as two songs are yet to be recorded.”

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, who is Apu's husband in the real life as well, will act with Apu in the film.

Prior to going on vacation, Apu signed for three other films -- My Darling, Maa, and Love - which are also scheduled to be completed soon.

Shakib Khan will star against Apu in all these films.
