Cholo Bangladesh: the new cricket anthem

With everybody humming the song, 'Cholo Bangladesh, Cholo Biswha Uthane' has become the new cricket anthem of the season.

The song, which alludes to the nationwide cricket mania and manifests unbridled support to the national cricket team, was composed by musicians Habib Waheed along with Preetom Hasan for mobile phone operator Grameenphone.

Written by Al Amin and Mehedi Ansari of the GREY Advertising Bangladesh, Emil from band Shunyo and Zohad from band Nemesis have also rendered their voice in the song.

Amitabh Reza directed the music video, which has already gone viral on Youtube and Facebook.

Gausul Azam Shawon of GREY Advertising said, "We wanted to make a song that can unite people from all walks of life."

This song is about undivided support to the Tigers through good times and the bad times, he added.

Regarding the song, composer Habib said, "This song is light and fun, quite different than typical theme songs."
