Kangalini Sufia hospitalised
Folk singer Kangalini Sufia was admitted with severe illness to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar on Thursday, reports UNB.
She has been suffering from throat-related complexities, said her daughter Pushpa urging all to pray for her mother.
"My mother is very sick... she even can't talk properly," said her daughter.
Physician Arifur Rahman of Enam Medical College Hospital said Kanglini Sufia was admitted to the hospital with vomiting and throat-related diseases.
"We have done several medical examinations of the patient. She has several problems including irregularities of blood circulation in her brain. She also has some problems in her heart," said the doctor.
Meanwhile, several of her admirers and music lovers thronged the hospital on Friday to know about her heath conditions.
Her popular numbers include 'Buri Hoilam Tor Karone', 'Konba Pothey Nitaiganj Jai', 'Amra Nari Koto Koshto Kori', 'Ei Boro Ajab Kudrati' and many more.
She has received many awards for her contributions to folk music.
Mustafa Monwar, the former director general of Shilpakala Academy, nicknamed her "Kangalini Sufia" and she became famous across the country with this name.
