3 Lux Channel i Superstars to star in one web-series

Three Lux Channel i Superstar winners, Zakia Bari Mamo (2006), Bidya Sinha Mim (2007) and the current champion Mim Mantasha (2018) are to star in a web series ‘Beauty and the Bullet’.

The seven-episode series directed by Animesh Aich is being made under the banner of Lux and sponsored by the Good Company.

Maruf Rehman, head of content at Good Company, said, "The shooting has already started at various locations of Dhaka."

Actors Tahsan Khan and Shahiduzzaman Selim took part in the first day of the shoot. The Lux divas were supposed to start their shooting on Monday.

Suborna Mustafa, Tariq Anam Khan, actress Mumtahina Toya and Samia Athai will also star in the series. The main concept of this web-series was created by Maruf Rehman while Animesh Aich did the screenplay.

Animesh said, "It is a complete thriller replete with crime stories. Each episode will be of 20 minutes."

Zakia Bari Mamo is playing an important role in the series. She said, "I got the script, liked it and agreed to do the series."

Mim Mantasha talked about the series with Prothom Alo on Sunday. "The shooting will start from tomorrow (Monday). Right now I don’t want to say anything else. Let it be a surprise."

The platform to telecast the series has not yet been finalised. It will be decided soon after the production, said Maruf Rehman.
