Nagarik to honour Ferdousi Majumdar

For her outstanding contributions to country’s theatre, thespian Ferdousi Majumdar will be honoured with a lifetime achievement award on the opening day of a nine-day theatre festival to be held from 20 to 28 May by Nagarik Natyangan.

To celebrate its two decades in theatre, the troupe Nagarik Natyangan has arranged the festival to be held at the National Theatre Main Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city.

Five Dhaka-based theatre troupes, including Dhaka Theatre, Somoy, Loko Natyadal (Siddheshwari), Padatik Natya Sangsad and the hosts as well as two Indian groups Natua and Abhash will perform their productions during the festival.
