Desh Natak is going to stage its popular drama Nityapuran after a gap of 14 years. The play, directed by Masum Reza, will be on stage on 10 and 11 November at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the Bangladesh Shipakala Academy in the capital.

"During Nityapuran's regular runs 14 years ago, most of the spectators enjoyed several shows. It was due to its immense popularity. Now new spectators along with the old ones can enjoy the drama," said Masum Reza.

Bonna Mirza has been playing a role in the drama since its first show and she will do so these two days as well. But the other roles will be played by new Desh Natak actors, said the director.

"I tried to make it a 'time-neutral' play, because I wanted to stay in the Mahabharata and the present times at the same time," he added.
