No time for movies on Eid day: Shakib

Two new films starring Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan will hit the theaters this Eid.
The films ‘Rangbaj’ and ‘Ahangkar’ will be released on the day of the Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on Saturday.
The actor has spoken to Prothom Alo about his new ventures.
Prothom Alo: What’s your plan on the day of Eid?
Shakib: Eid prayers and then the sacrifice of the animals. I usually take part in the formalities of the animal sacrificial acts.
Prothom Alo: Will you watch your film on the Eid day?
Shakib: I generally can’t manage time on the day. But, I hope to watch on the day after the Eid.
Prothom Alo: Publicity of the films is not noticeable. What’s your opinion?
Shakib: At the moment, I’m busy shooting for Uttam Akash’s film ‘Ami Neta Hobo’. Despite other engagements, I’ve already done a bit in this regard.
Prothom Alo: Some quarters in the industry are saying that you are only busy with Rangbaj’s publicity.
Shakib: It’s wrong. If you see my programme, you will know the truth. Both films are mine and the films have distinct features. The only difference is budget. Ranjbag is an expensive venture as some of its songs were shot in Switzerland and Italy. I hope the viewers will enjoy both the films.
Prothom Alo: Have the problems centering the shooting of film ‘Ami Neta Hobo’ been solved?
Shakib: Now, there is no problem. Nearly 50 per cent of its shooting has been completed. The shooting of another film ‘Chalbaj’ will start in the United Kingdom after the Eid.
Prothom Alo: When are you going to the UK?
Shakib: I’m scheduled to fly on 5 September. If things go well, the shooting of my parts will start in the UK’s Play Mount area on 6 or 7 September.
