Riaz hospitalised after chest pain

Popular actor Riaz has been hospitalised after he complained a sudden chest pain on Monday evening while shooting in Uttara.
The actor was shooting for a film, ‘Krishnapakkha’ at Hoichoi shooting spot of Uttara and then, all of a sudden, he had a cardiac arrest at around 8:30pm, director of the film Meher Afroz Shaon told Prothom Alo.
Riaz is now undergoing a surgery at Apollo Hospitals in Dhaka, she added.
Shaon told Prothom Alo, “As Riaz is undergoing a heart surgery, I request all to pray for him.”
According to the shooting unit of ‘Krishnapakkha’, actor Riaz started sweating while he was recording dialogues for the film. At one stage, he fell faint and was rushed to a local clinic in Uttara.
As his health condition deteriorated, Riaz was shifted to the Apollo Hospitals. He is now undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital under Shahbuddin Talukdar, an adviser of the department.
