Samaresh Majumdar in Bangladeshi drama

Contemporary Bengali writer of Kolkata Samaresh Majumder has recently acted in a Bangladeshi drama, 'Picchutan'.
'Picchutan' is directed by Shahriar Shakil.
Samaresh featured his own role in the drama.
The story of the drama developed as Kolkata's girl Proggya meets a Bangladeshi boy. Proggya brings a book written by Samaresh for her friend while she visits Bangladesh. She also gets an autograph of Samaresh on the book.
Earlier, Shamaresh Majumder also acted in a drama serial written by him titled 'Tera Parban' in 1984.
Samaresh said that I could not concentrate on my writing if I work in dramas. Shakil requested me so I cast in a small character in his drama.
Actress Opi Karim expressed her excitement after sharing the same frame with the writer. She said I am very lucky to meet Shamaresh four years back in Dhaka.
It is a blessing to work with my favourite writer, added Opi.
Shamaresh took part in the shooting of 'Picchutan' on Saturday.
Drama maker Shahriar Shakil said script of the drama needs Shamaresh Majumder. He was featured in a guest character. It is a matter of joy to me.
