Shakib Khan fined Tk 1 million

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has been fined Tk 1 million for violating the building codes of RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha) while constructing a house in the capital’s Niketon Area.

A mobile court of RAJUK handed the fine during a drive in the area on Monday.

RAJUK Zone 4 official, Mohammad Hossain, told Prothom Alo that a mobile court has been conducting a drive in the area since the morning.

During the drive, he said, Shakib Khan alias Rana’s house was found to have been constructed in violation of the RAJUK building code. He was fined Tk 1 million.

RAJUK’s inquiries found that the roof of the building was built without complying with the building code, he added.
