Shakib and I have a son: Apu Biswas

Actress Apu Biswas has revealed that she got married to film star Shakib Khan and they have a son together.

She made the disclosure in a live interview with private TV channel News24 on Monday.

Apu said they got married in a private ceremony at Shakib’s residence on 18 April, 2008.

She gave birth to her son Abraham Khan Joy in a Kolkata hospital on 27 September 2016.  

When contacted, Shakib Khan acknowledged marrying Apu and having a son with her.

He told Prothom Alo over the phone that he will take responsibility of only his son Joy.

“I will take my child’s responsibility. However, I won’t take responsibility of Apu,” he said claiming that Apu degraded him on the live TV show.

He said it is a conspiracy to ruin his career.

When asked why he kept his marriage a secret, he said, “I didn’t want to make my personal life public, but she did it. I provided her with money whenever she asked for it.”

Apu broke down into tears while narrating her story on the live show.

“I did everything for the sake of Shakib’s career. But now it has crossed all the limits and I thought I should speak up,” said Apu.

She said Shakib demeaned her time and again.

Shakib asked Apu to go into hiding after she conceived, claimed the actress.
