Sonakshi confirms pairing with double-aged Rajinikanth

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is 27 now, is going to be paired against superstar Rajinikanth, who is more than 60 currently, as the former has announced her debut in Kollywood, reports Bollywood Mantra.

Since Rajinikanth is a very close friend of Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha, there's a whispering gossip in Bollywood for some days that whether Sonakshi is really ready to work with the actor.

At last the Bollywood actress put an end to all whispering saying, "I am finally making my debut in the South. I could not have asked for a better project to start with; it's a wonderful story and it's opposite the one and only Rajini sir."

Media reports say Sonakshi Sinha has been finalised to play the lead opposite Rajinikanth in K Ravikumar’s next film.

Sonakshi said to run around in frocks on the sets of the movie "Asli Naqli" in which Shatrughan Sinha and Rajinikanth worked together, reports Bollywood Mantra quoting one close associates of the actress.

Sonakshi's working against Rajinikath, however, was defended by some who referred to the actress' paring with heroes like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan who are far older than her. So working with Rajinikath is, they say, not a big deal.

According to a source in Chennai, director Ravikumar, who wants to cast Rajinikanth with Sonakshi, has re-worked the script to justify the age difference.
